I've spent a good 3hrs this afternoon writing personal statements to schools, to internships, to a bunch of other things. I don't remember in any recent memory having to fervently write so much about myself. I'm usually not my favorite topic because I don't see a point in talking so much about me, I would rather you spend a quick 5 minutes with me and you judge for yourself whether I'd be great for your school/job/social circle/etc.
Isn't that what the book Blink was all about? The power of quick judgment/thinking/analyzing?
A lot of ego-stroking in the process of all this, but I guess that's just the American way.
I need to switch the email address associated with this blog & replace it with one of the 5 other email addresses I own. I wouldn't want people searching me up to find some incriminating nonsense from my youthful yet idiotic pandering from a year ago. No I'm not being paranoid.. I only know this coz I know ways to search people up through their email address/simple phone numbers, etc. A phisher's job is made too easy nowadays. Thanks a lot facebook!
